Read Participants Comments about Essentials for Healthy Backs Workshop.....

"I had so many wow experiences throughout the back class that raised my awareness to give me a deeper understanding of how to get the most out of every yoga move...Small differences and hands-on tweaks brought new feelings which collectively led to greater understanding. The breath, the alignment, the importance of core strength, for a healthy back. By focusing on one area [in the workshop format] I find I gain a different understanding [than in a class] which leads to getting more from each yoga move.  This was not something I expected, but I kept experiencing this over and over througout the weeks. By the end of the 8 weeks, I had the experience of a deep relaxation response.  I would definitely attend again. GREAT WORKSHOP, excellent instruction, I realize the applications to my life!"

"I enjoyed working with you.You are very well-informed, professional, and caring.  I experienced a lot of those A-HA moments.....developing the back breathing, sitting properly, posture, elongating the neck and shoulders, strengthening the lower abs.  I have become more aware of the areas where I need to focus. "

"I am much more aware of my body alignment, I was mentally alert all day, and my back feels good!"

"This was a great class, fun and informative.  You brought your knowledge and excitement for the topic with you and shared it with us.  The 8 Week format is designed to provide sustained focus toward a specific goal with more time to introduce, reinforce, practice, and integrate concepts and exercises significant to the health of a target area so that expanded awareness and change can be tangibly experiences on some level....The whole aspect of awareness of alignment, breath, and core I had never really understood or experienced in the way I did in this workshop.  WOW!  Now, when at work, home, play, I am looking at myself and seeing if I'm in proper alignment..."

BACK PROBLEMS ARE NOW THE #1 DISABILITY IN THE WORLD!  Yet 95% are developed conditions from unhealthy and unaware postural, occupational, lifestyle, sport, and psycho-emotional habits and largely correctable at any age without surgery by learning how to move and care for the biggest series of joints in your body and its associated muscles and nerves.

This 8 week Therapeutic class/workshop format is for virtually everyone.  If you’re healthy now, learn how to proactively avoid future back problems as you age.  And especially for all who suffer occasional or chronic generalized back issues resulting in weakness, stiffness, pain, distortions in the discs or natural spine, and restricted movement or activities, do something now to end the cycle of recurrence!

Over 8 weeks you will gain self-awareness, instruction, and practice towards:

*an understanding of yourself, your habits, the roots of back problems at the physical level and beyond

*a broader working knowledge of the essentials for maintenance of health in this area

*key alignment no-no’s that result in back problems and how to turn these no’s into yes!

*the role stress and psycho-emotional reactions play as triggers and how to manage them

*the best poses to relieve back strain and pain, strengthen core and back muscles, and increase flexibility of the spine

*tips for home practice on high stress and high activity days to minimize back triggers

*specific breathing and meditation exercises to reduce physical and psychological pain and stress

*reduction in symptoms and intensity and self-healing through mindful actions

Space is limited to 16 participants.  Call to pre-register if you wish to secure your place in this very important group experience.
